Where have I been? — Janet Mactavish

If you are reading this post it probably has not escaped your notice that I have not written a blog post for years! In fact, not since COVID times.

That may have cost me some business, as prospective clients will no doubt have checked out my website and Facebook page before contacting me about their travel requirements. An absence of posts is not good. Am I even still trading? You could be forgiven for thinking that someone who does not keep on top of such things might not keep on top of your holiday plans? You would be wrong, but how are you to know?

COVID wiped the floor with my business, and that of so many of my colleagues, many of whom even left the travel industry. With no idea when things would get better, (I mean it did drag on a bit didn’t it), and it was hard to feel inspired to write anything at all.

Then some family commitments which have only recently settled down, meant that I had no time or headspace other than to manage clients’ travels. Social media, Blogs, Trade Shows etc all went by the wayside.

Interestingly, this last year has been one of the best years in business since I set up almost 13 years ago, and all of that without showing up, anywhere.

Going forward I plan to be more visible and maybe even write the odd newsletter, after all, there is so much to tell you and so many exciting places and ideas to share with you.
